DeLores "Dee" Cannon, age 83, formerly of Atlantic, passed peacefully away at her daughter's home in Ladson, South Carolina on Friday, November 19, 2010. She was born in Webster City, Iowa to Howard and Doris (Raven) Bash on November 14, 1927. On August 15, 1948, Dee was united in marriage to Neal Duane Cannon in Harlan, Iowa. They settled in Atlantic when Neal worked with Atlantic Municipal Utilities and Dee became a homemaker. Dee enjoyed being a mother and wife, cooking, making clothes and blankets for her family. Her hands were always busy as she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and embroidery work. She had a wonderful dry sense of humor and her sharp wit kept her family and friends in stitches. Many of her daughters' friends became family in her heart. Dee is survived by her daughters, Sandra Dickson of Woodward, IA, Andrea Rae Hansen of Ladson, SC and Stacia Joa Cannon-Blackburn of Atlantic, IA; her big brother Howard Bash of Oelwein, IA; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
