Message: Growing up right next door to you folks, I got to witness first hand the love, faith, and kindness that Helen had. Rodney and I were born in the same month, same year, and grew up as best friends, so I was invited to the family dinner table several times. She was always so giving and ready to help any of the kids in the neighborhood, or my Mom and Dad and family. I remember how she loved working in her garden, and always kept a watchful eye on us at the same time. No moss ever grew under Helen's feet, that's for sure. Some neighbors are more special than others. I was blessed to grow up next to Helen, Lyle, and the Pigg family...the best ever.

Message: Helen was a very kind and special person. We have wonderful memories of her at Jackson Elementary School. She always had a smile and was willing to help everyone-both staff and students. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family.

Message: Helen was a great teacher. It was an honor to help her during her stay at the heritage house. Helen you have a remarkable family! Your smile will be greatly missed!

Message: When Sue moved to Atlantic to pastor the UCC church Helen became her "Mother" and Lyle her"Father". They helped Sue to transition into the community and the Church. Helen was the kind of friend we all want and all would like to be. Her warmth and kindness will be missed by all those who were fortunate to know her.

Message: Janet please know I am thinking of you and your family at this sad time. It is a mix of sorrow and joy as I remember your mom.
