Dearest Family: I have to say I was sad when I received the news from Gene. I want to share some of my memories of Aunt Merntha. When I was a kid growing up in Atlantic she was like a second mother to me. I would spent as much time at her house as my own. The love would pour out of her, always a smile on her face, telling stories of her life, she was a kick in the pants, and oh how she dress so beautifully (always put together). When I moved from Iowa we would always stay in touch. She would call me and leave a message and I would return her call. When we made contact we would had very long talks. We would alway say I love you after our conversations, and she would say tell you're family she loved them. Such a sweetheart. Several years ago we went to Olatha to have a mini reunion, what a great time that was.... She brought some of the best food, we had the best time. We went to her home in Gardner Kansas to spent more time with Aunt Merntha. She showed us all of her project she had finished and the ones she still had to do. There was anything Aunt Merntha couldn't or wouldn't try to do. My son-in-law was impressed with her carpenter skills. I could go on and on but I won't. I pray that GOD gives you all comfort, peace, and strength during this time of sorrow. Caroline and Family

To the family: My sincere condolences. There is no greater pain than the death of a loved one. Sometimes it seems almost more than a person can bear. Jehovah God helps us with this in His word. He promises us that He will put a stop to all sickness and death will be no more (REV 21;3.4) Jehovah also shows His love for us through the ransom sacrifice of His beloved son Jesus Christ. What a wonderful gift to be given ! Then the hope of seeing one's loved ones again on this earth transformed in a paradise as it was Jehovah's will when He created Adam & Eve . Mert and Al were friends of my parents, Emmert and Mildred Larsen. I have many good memories of shared meals and visiting back and forth between our families. Gene and Carol you will be in my prayers.
