Obituary for Theresa Capouch
Theresa Marie Capouch, 68, of Atlantic, Iowa, entered into rest on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at her home.
She was born on September 2, 1952, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Melvin Clyde and Patricia Lucille (Denehy) Rasmussen. She was the oldest of six children and grew up in Northwood, Iowa. Later in life Theresa made Atlantic, Iowa, her home.
Theresa was blessed with two daughters, Lisa and Lee Ann. In her free time, she enjoyed yard sales and thrifting; always having her eye out for a decorative cat for her collection. She loved being outdoors gardening and tending to her flowers, really anything in nature. Above all she treasured spending time with her family; playing cards was always a must when she was with the grandchildren.
Theresa had an optimistic personality; always looking on the bright side of all situations. She had a heart of gold and a contagious smile. Theresa was a generous person and was always willing to give a helping hand.
Theresa is survived by Kent Ehle of 32 years; two daughters, Lisa Capouch and Lee Ann Gresham both of Atlantic, IA; grandchildren, Justin Cooley of Clarinda, IA, Joshua Chapalonis of Atlantic, IA, SkyAnne Christensen of Omaha, NE, Carter Hoffman of Two Harbors, MN, MacKenzie Hoffman of Washington, IL, and Alexis Hoyt and Alex Hoyt of Atlantic, IA; siblings, Pamela Darrow of Harlan, IA, Janice Crary of White Bear Lake, MN, Steve Erlacher of Council Bluffs, IA, Albert Bates of Council Bluffs, IA, and Jay Fjuland of Clear Lake, IA; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and other close relatives.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 15th at the Atlantic Cemetery.
