Obituary for Lisa Stein
Lisa Stein, 55, of Atlantic, Iowa, died Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.
Lisa Marie Stein was born on May 12, 1964, in Harlan, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond Henry and Roberta Jean (Clements) Stein. As a child she looked forward to going for walks, fishing, and rides in the car. She attended special education school in Harlan until the family moved to Atlantic in 1976. Lisa graduated from Atlantic in the Class of 1983. Following graduation, she started working at Burger King. Lisa later worked in dietary at Heritage House and the Atlantic Care Center and housekeeping at Super 8.
She was a quiet person; and most of the time kept to herself. Lisa enjoyed word search puzzles, watching Let’s Make A Deal, listening to the radio, and a good nap. Even in her quiet ways she had a great sense of humor and could be a bit stubborn at times. Lisa attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and was thankful to them for taking her to their conferences, helping her move and other support they provided; a second family to her.
Lisa is survived by her mom, Roberta Stein; sister, Kim Clemons and her friend Calvin Krause; brother, Jeff Stein; step-mom, Marilyn Stein; and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Raymond Stein; sister, Jackie Stein; and grandparents, Robert and Bertha Clements and Michael and Isabelle Stein.
A visitation with the family present and luncheon will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Roland Funeral Home. A graveside service at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Atlantic will follow the visitation.
