Hazel Mary Oehler, 82, of Atlantic died Sunday, September 30, 2001, at her residence.The daughter of Edward and Louise (Richter) Dimig, she was born October 8, 1918, in Atlantic, Iowa. She graduated from Atlantic High School in 1936, and then worked several years for JCPenney Co. She was a former member of Cass County Memorial Auxiliary and the Altar and Rosary Society of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church of which she was a member. Hazel was united in marriage to Henry Saville October 22, 1938, in Atlantic and they farmed in the Fletcher Chapel area and then moved to Atlantic in 1960. She worked for Howard's clothing a number of years. Henry passed away May 17, 1975. In 1984 she married Rafael "Bud&" Oehler and they continue to live in Atlantic.Hazel is survived by one daughter Shirley Rettig and her husband John of Omaha, Nebraska; three sons, Larry Saville and his wife Karen of Clive, Iowa; Lloyd Saville and his wife Paulette of Ankeny, Iowa and Kenneth Saville and his wife Karen of Wichita, Kansas; a stepson, Dr. Gary Oehler and his wife Konnie of Clive, Iowa; a stepdaughter Ellen of Seattle, Washington; a brother Joe Dimig and his wife Dorothy of Atlantic, Iowa; sisters in-law, Rose Dimig of Plymouth, Wisconsin and Dorothy Dimig of Jefferson, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren; and a number of great-step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Henry Saville in 1975; her second husband R.R. Oehler in 1994; three brothers, Leo, Clarence, and Paul; and two sisters, Mildred and Rose.Funeral InformationA funeral mass will be held for Hazel at the SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Thursday, October 4, 2001, at 10:00 AM with Msgr. Lawrence Beeson officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Catholic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa.
