Patrick Lee Schultz, 22, of Wiota, Iowa, died Friday, October 19, 2018, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident west of Massena.

Patrick was born on September 1, 1996, in Maryville, Missouri, the son of Michael Harold and Elizabeth Matilda (Kimm) Schultz. He attended Atlantic Community Schools, where he was a member of the FFA in high school and graduated with the Class of 2015. Following graduation, he began working as a welder at Central Western Fabrication in Atlantic until January of 2017 when he was employed with Amanco in Audubon until January of 2018. This summer he worked for Modern Roofing for a short time before recently being employed at the Southwest Iowa Egg Co-Op near Massena.

He was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting and fishing. Patrick looked forward to spending time with family and friends, and was never far from his dogs.

Patrick is survived by his father, Michael Schultz of Atlantic; brother and sisters, Wesley Chesmore of Nebraska, Laura (Brian) Stuetelberg of Exira, and Eva (Kerri) Adams of Arizona; sister-in-law, Amy Dole of Atlantic; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Schultz; brother, Moses “Anthony Dole” Chesmore; paternal grandparents, Gilbert Engelhart and Dorothy Schultz; and maternal grandparents, Silas and Letha Kimm.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25th at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 26th at the Zion Lutheran Church in Atlantic, with Pastor Ken Davidson officiating. Burial will be held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, east of Exira.
