Richard Edward Reed was born on September 11, 1925, in Wiota, Iowa, the son of Frank (Rusty) and Cecil (Mailander) Reed. During high school Dick enlisted in the United States Army; serving as a medic during WWII. He returned home and graduated from Wiota High School. Dick worked as a dental tech for Catalina Dental; a business he owned and operated in Tucson, Arizona for 55 years. In retirement he and Lucille enjoyed spending time with family and traveling.
