Daryl E. Culver, 61, of Atlantic, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018.

Daryl Eugene was born on December 7, 1956, in Greenfield, Iowa, the son of Don Leo and Wilma Mae (Keltner) Culver. He had fond memories of his childhood including raccoon hunting with his dog, Schultz and driving his cars a bit too fast. He attended school in Greenfield, graduating in 1975. Following graduation, he enrolled in auto body school at SWCC in Creston. Daryl then had the opportunity to begin work at Lindeman Tractor in Atlantic. He began his 42-year career with Lindeman’s as a painter and also worked as a mechanic and service manager. If something needed fixing that was troublesome, he was your guy. He was curious about how things worked and was up for finding a solution to any problem. Daryl took a great deal of pride in his work.

On August 20, 1983, he was united in marriage to Ann Fagan at St. John’s Catholic Church in Adair. The couple made Atlantic home and were blessed with two children, Dennis and Darci. He cherished time spent with his kids and grandkids. If you ever shared in conversation with Daryl he was sure to tell you how proud he was of them.

Daryl continued using his handyman skills at home working on various woodworking projects and model airplanes and cars. One of his greatest accomplishments was climbing to the peak of Longs Peak in Colorado.

Daryl is survived by his parents, Don and Wilma Culver of Greenfield, IA; sisters, Karen (Gary) Verploegh of Fremont, IA and Linda (Steve) Wolfe of Greenfield, Iowa; son, Dennis (Courtney) Culver of Ankeny, IA; daughter, Darci (Andy) Reyerson and their children, Mason (7), Ivan (3), and Brynn (1 ½) of Somerset, WI; Ann Culver; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his nephew, James Wolfe.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic. Burial will be held at a later date in the Greenfield Cemetery.

To honor the memory of Daryl, Lindeman Tractor will close at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17th.
