Obituary for Tyler Jade Brix

Tyler Jade  Brix
Tyler Brix, 40, of Marne, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017, at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.

Tyler Jade was born August 14, 1977, in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Danny Gene and Mary Jo (Hoilien) Brix. He attended Atlantic Community Schools, graduating with the High School Class of 1996. He then attended Iowa State University in Ames, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science.

Tyler enjoyed watching television, especially the Kansas City Chiefs football games and made many trips to Kansas City to see them play. Most of all he loved spending time with his nieces and nephew and taking them to the movies on Saturdays, and concerts in the summer.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Mary and her husband, Randy Henningsen of Marne, Iowa; father, Danny Brix and his significant other, Sue Hoegh of Atlantic, Iowa; brothers, Jeremy Brix of Elk Horn and Nick Brix of Atlantic; sisters, Ada Henningsen of Council Buffs and Danielle Ogden of Denver, CO; grandmother, Norma Brix of Atlantic; nieces and nephews, Kea Brix, Marney Brix, Ashley Finnell, Cameron Steffens, and Charlie Brix; and his aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry and Joyce Hoilien and Don Brix and uncle, J.R. Hoilien.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Brighton Township Cemetery, northeast of Marne, Iowa, with Pastor Nancy Jensen of the United Church of Christ officiating.
