Condolences

Condolence From: Rich & Kathy Govig
Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with the Nichols family as you celebrate the life of your Dad. My Mom, Marjorie (Hofmeister) Johnson went to school with him, graduating from Lewis High School in 1940. She told me that he was mischievous (!)when in school and remembers one time when he started whistling, but hiding it somehow. The teacher, Miss Pingery, made my Mom leave the room and go outside to see what kid was whistling, and to tell them to stop. Mom knew very well it was Fletcher, but didn't tattle on him! So there's a story to bring a smile to your face. May God's goodness and faithfulness reflect in your character, as Fletcher taught and lived.

Condolence From: Duane and Shirley Acker
Condolence: Few leave this physical world with more reasons for satisfactions and pride than Fletcher Nichols - - his wonderful family, his forward-looking and productive farming career, his leadership, and his endless list of friends. It has been our benefit and appreciation to have been his friends for about 70 years, to observe and admire him and, certainly, his highly respected family. It is only our regret that we could not be present to personally express to his family our admiration and appreciation. Duane and Shirley Acker

Condolence From: Jan Kremer Horn
Condolence: Dear Friends, I am sorry to hear of your father's passing because of the loss it means in your lives. At the same time I praise God for the beautiful life he led - so faithful in all his ways to the God he knew and loved. That dedication of both your sweet parents shines in each one of you and down through your families, I am sure. Just recently I told a Fletcher story, that I think I must have learned from Shirley, about his thoughtful, loving & effective method of physical discipline. I would have loved to be at his service to hear the stories and see you all. His joy is complete now. May our God bring you many sweet memories and soothe the ache of distance. Love to you all, Jan

Condolence From: Terry & Karol Schoenfeld
Condolence: What a blessed weaving of lives began with meeting Cindy and Shirley (and soon after Dick and Craig) in college and later Jane and Craig and Bill and Linda after moving to Atlantic! That led to meeting many of the rest of your siblings and the children who came along through the years as well as your legacy leading Dad, Mom, Uncle Dick, and Aunt Mary. We could never begin to number the ways in which you ALL have impacted our lives as well as our children's! 'Grateful to God' seems a minuscule phrase to what fills our hearts on this day. Our prayers are lifted to the Lord for all of you.. We are confident that the Lord will comfort each of you in the individual way each of you needs. It is a wonderful thing to see the legacy continue through the next generations! We love you and will continue to pray for you in the days ahead. Terry and Karol Schoenfeld
