Condolence: We are so sorry for your loss. We first met Larry when my mother-in-law lived across the alley from him here in Atlantic. As she got older, Larry was a great help to her and always made himself available to her for assistance. He enjoyed sitting in her living room, in the evenings, watching game shows with her. I remember there might have been some popcorn and snacks involved! He always had time to visit with our daughters when we were at her house. He was always very proud to tell us about his son and how proud he was of him. After she passed away, we didn't see Larry as much but would, from time to time, see him shopping here in town and have a catch-up visit. This past Cass County Fair, my oldest daughter and granddaughters and I ran into Larry. We could tell he was having some kind of health issue. Just a couple weeks before his passing, he stopped at our house and sat outside with my husband, also Larry and also with a September 24th birthday, and they had a nice visit. He then explained to Larry what his health issue was. We are so sorry for your loss and you are in our thoughts and prayers. Just wanted you to know that he made an impact on our lives for many years. We will be directing a memorial to the Atlantic Library in Larry's name.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear this. As cousins, our families spent so much time together, we were more like brothers & sisters. Although we have lost touch through the years, the memories are still very much alive. You will be and are missed, Larry.

Condolence: I first met Larry several years ago when we both worked at Kmart in Atlantic. I once again ran into Larry when he was working at anytime fitness over 30 years later. He was always a kind and caring person and was willing to help you accomplish whatever you set your mind to do. I remember him coming over to me one day at anytime fitness and telling me he didn't think I could start out doing an hour on the eliptical. Well just to prove him wrong I did an hour everyday for as long as I can remember. He was always impressed by this but I think he was doing this just to keep me motivated, as it did. After a couple of years I had some health issues that prevented me in keeping up at the facility. Out of the blue one day my phone rang and it was Larry just checking to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. What a kind and caring person he was and will be missed greatly by those of us who were lucky enough to know him and call him our friend. RIP Larry and prayers to your family. Until me meet again my friend!
