VERDA S. (REICH) JUELSGAARD

Verda Sena (Reich) Juelsgaard, 95, a resident of the Elk Horn area, passed away Tuesday, January 28, at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn.
The daughter of Otto & Ella (Andersen) Reich, she was born August 5, 1918, in Rural Elk Horn. She attended County School Clay #5. She was united in marriage to Norman Frederick Juelsgaard, December 10, 1937, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic. Verda was employed as a cook for both the Salem Lutheran Home and the Danish Inn. Her interests included cooking and sewing and she most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Verda was a member of her Neighborhood Club.
She is survived by her sister Elaine Michaelsen of Atlantic; sons Ronald (Beverley) Juelsgaard of Exira, Jimmie (Diana) Juelsgaard of Kimballton, and Lynn (Trudy) Juelsgaard of Elk Horn; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; former daughter-in-law Becky (Kevin) Hansen of Treynor; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman; her parents; son Jackie Juelsgaard; two grandsons Randy Juelsgaard and Nathan Juelsgaard; her brothers Freddie Reich and Folmer Reich; and sister Viola Jensen.
