Best Of Memories
Dearest Family:
I have to say I was sad when I received the news from Gene.
I want to share some of my memories of Aunt Merntha. When I was a kid growing up in Atlantic she was like a second mother to me. I would spent as much time at her house as my own.
The love would pour out of her, always a smile on her face, telling stories of her life, she was a kick in the pants, and oh how she dress so beautifully (always put together).
When I moved from Iowa we would always stay in touch. She would call me and leave a message and I would return her call. When we made contact we would had very long talks. We would alway say I love you after our conversations, and she would say tell you're family she loved them. Such a sweetheart.
Several years ago we went to Olatha to have a mini reunion, what a great time that was.... She brought some of the best food, we had the best time. We went to her home in Gardner Kansas to spent more time with Aunt Merntha. She showed us all of her project she had finished and the ones she still had to do. There was anything Aunt Merntha couldn't or wouldn't try to do. My son-in-law was impressed with her carpenter skills.
I could go on and on but I won't. I pray that GOD gives you all comfort, peace, and strength during this time of sorrow. Caroline and Family
