SANDRA DUEDE

Sandra Duede, of Cumberland, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Colonial Manor in Anita, at the age of 70 years. She had been a resident of 505 Main Street in Cumberland, Iowa.

Sandra Jane Gross was born on October 10, 1941 to Roger Cornell and Evelynn (Petersen) Gross in Atlantic, Iowa. She attended school in Atlantic graduating from Atlantic High School. On September 11, 1963, Sandra was united in marriage to Lester Dean Dueda in Atlantic, Iowa. Sandra liked riding horses and enjoyed her trips to Wyoming to see their son, Neil. Sandra was a member of the Cumberland United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lester; three children; Neil, David, and one daughter, Joan; three stepchildren, Patricia, Peggy and Dennis; and one brother Melvin Gross of Muscatine, IA. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.

Per Sandra's desire, there will be no viewing but friends may call at the Roland Funeral Home to sign a guest book. A memorial service for Sandra will be held at the Cumberland Community Center on Thursday evening, April 19, from 6:00 - 8:00. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later date at the family's discretion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends plant a tree in Sandra's memory.
